Centred shampoo and conditioner review

For the last three years I have chosen to only buy Vegan shampoo and conditioner, as I’m not a fan of Sodium Lauryl Sulphates (SLS), a chemical foaming agent, which contributes to cell damage and stripping away of natural oils and hair proteins, which can lead to dry and brittle hair.

My hair is bleached at the bottom, so its pretty dry anyway, so why would I want to contribute to making it even more damaged and dry… I have found over the years some vegan shampoo to be a disappointment, the shampoo doesn’t foam and it doesn’t feel like my hair is fully clean. However the one I’m using now doesn’t have SLS, and it still foams, maybe there is a natural foaming agent included… I have used the same one for the last two years, but its getting to the point where my hair is craving something new.

Then I spotted the shampoo and conditioner from Centred. What caught my eye was, it claimed it develops a luxurious lather that gently cleanses. I was Sold!

The brand describes the Daily Calma Shampoo as sulphate free, vegan, formulated with a coconut-derived cleanser, it develops a luxurious lather that gently cleanses whilst protecting your hairs natural lipid layer. Enriched with with Amino Acid Proteins and Orange Blossom Water that promote strength and shine.

It smells absolutely divine and yes it lathers up nicely in the shower. I tried the Daily Calma Conditioner straight after which contains a luxurious blend of Jojoba Oil, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein and Castor Oil. Again beautifully smelling and calming to use.

After drying my hair I could feel how silky my hair was, it looked conditioned and shiny, Three big ticks in my book. Both shampoo and conditioner are £22.00 each, and although its more on the expensive side, its worth every penny!

Centred also offer a range of haircare products, which you can view here: https://www.wearecentred.com
