Eggslut Expands South London Presence With New Balham Opening

Cult breakfast brand Eggslut is continuing its London expansion with a new delivery-focused launch in Balham, marking the latest chapter in the company’s steady growth across the capital. After first arriving in the UK at Taste of London in 2019, the egg-centric concept has spent the past six years building a loyal following through a series of openings across London, from Portobello Road and Fitzrovia to Shoreditch, Stratford, Canary Wharf and Liverpool Street.

The new Balham operation signals Eggslut’s continued focus on reaching customers beyond its dine-in footprint, with the brand expanding through delivery-only locations designed to bring its signature all-day breakfast menu to more neighbourhoods across south London. According to the company’s social channels, the Balham launch will serve customers across Balham, Clapham, Tooting, Brixton and surrounding area.

Founded in Los Angeles in 2011, Eggslut has built an international reputation around indulgent, chef-driven egg dishes that blur the line between comfort food and gourmet fast casual dining. The London business has remained firmly committed to that formula, with eggs still at the centre of every item on the menu.

Customers ordering from the new Balham site can expect the brand’s established favourites, including the classic Bacon, Egg and Cheese, alongside newer menu additions such as the Pork Romesco, which pairs crispy pork belly with romesco sauce and an over-easy egg. Longstanding fan favourites also remain central to the offering, including the Fairfax – a soft brioche bun filled with soft scrambled eggs, caramelised onions, chives, cheddar and sriracha mayo – as well as Eggslut’s widely shared Truffle Hash Browns.

The Balham opening will also feature one of the brand’s standout newer menu additions: thick-cut brioche French Toast Sticks. The sweet breakfast option sees brioche dipped in egg wash, fried until golden, rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with a maple custard, offering a dessert-inspired addition to Eggslut’s savoury-heavy menu.

While the company now has an established presence across London, the Balham launch highlights how Eggslut is continuing to adapt its growth strategy to changing consumer habits, with delivery-led formats becoming an increasingly important part of the brand’s expansion plans. The move comes as demand for premium breakfast and brunch delivery continues to grow, particularly in residential south London neighbourhoods.

From a one-off food festival appearance in 2019 to a multi-site London operation, Eggslut’s latest Balham opening demonstrates how the once-hyped LA import has evolved into a firmly established player within the capital’s competitive breakfast scene.
