Egyptian mysticism meets mixology at The Bloomsbury Club

The Bloomsbury Club, the ravishing renegade of London’s leafy West End neighbourhood, is bringing intrigue, intuition, and influence to the table with the unveiling of its Ancient Egypt inspired cocktail menu. Step into a world steeped in mystery and allure as the latest collection pays homage to the majestic splendours of ancient times. Designed to carry your senses back to a bygone era of opulence and wonder, connoisseurs and the curious are beckoned to embark on a sensorial journey destined to transcend the ordinary.

Spanning three millennia and 2,000 miles, the Ancient Egyptians and the early 20th
-century Bloomsbury Set were kindred spirits in their shared journey to unravel the mysteries of
existence. Through symbols, stories, and mystical insights, from divination to dreams, both
sought to answer the timeless questions of our true nature. Now, modern-day revellers can
follow suit, cast aside their predictable penchants, and entrust their evening to the whims of
ancient deities.

Unlock the mysteries of ancient tombs with the bar’s unique pyramid and pendulum, designed
to reveal your destined libation. With a steady hand, suspend the pendulum and let it sway
until it reaches a standstill. Beneath the chosen sarcophagus, a hieroglyph awaits with a tale
to tell. Refer to the Oracle to discover the drink that fate has chosen for you along with its
hidden meaning.

Will you be drawn to the bold and powerful Anubis? A sharp, potent elixir that marries Remy
Martin 1738 Royal Accord Cognac with Amaro Nardini, infused with sweetness of dates and
the spice of cardamom bitters, symbolising a decisive turn of a dramatic new direction.
Or perhaps you’ll find clarity with Ren, a clear and compelling spirit. Aged Whistle Pig 10-yearold rye whiskey melds with D.O.M Benedictine and Tio Pepe Fino sherry, enriched by caramel
miso and hojicha tea, touched by notes of anise and chocolate bitters, inviting you to reclaim
your authentic voice.

Consider the effervescent Manu, where sparkling sweet and sour citrus notes dance with
Belvedere X Vodka, fig sauternes, honey vanilla salep, and Champagne – a beacon guiding
you through a perilous passage of which you must stay true to your course.

And then there’s the embracing warmth of Ka, its outstretched arms urging an openness to
the vital energies that bind us. Lost Explorer Espadin mezcal is artfully combined with green
coffee beans, pineapple, lime and a coconut and rosemary agave, challenging you to
contemplate your stance on materialism and indulgence.

A cloistered art deco den beneath The Bloomsbury Hotel, The Bloomsbury Club effortlessly
embodies the lustrous glamour of roaring twenties London in a space where creativity and
connection collide. A hidden world of occult-inspired cocktails, bar bites and live music shared
between the plush, cosy interior bar and twinkling outdoor grotto gives a sense that anything
can and will happen. Playful, exploratory, and ever shifting, The Bloomsbury Club is an
expression of individuality that simply begs to be discovered.
