Oi Frog, sit on a…. log!

I’ve spent many a days as a nanny reading this popular rhyming children’s book, which has now been brought to life as a play at the Lyric theatre in the heart of London’s West End! Taking along with me was the little girl I used to spend countless hours reading this story to (aged 3). So I knew I’d be in good company.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, however they brought the book to life in a clever way. The show was very engaging and interactive for the children (and adults I must say). With a few puppets and limited actors portraying the animals through the story, the children weren’t left feeling overwhelmed. Keeping the few characters as the forefront of the show, Darren Seed (dog), Lucy Tuck (cat) and John Winchester (Frog) did a remarkable job captivating us, proving that imagination and creativity goes a long way. Girl 3 didn’t take her eyes off the stage the whole show, which runs for about an hour. I don’t want to give too much away, you need to find your nearest child and go see it for yourself!
