We all know what a tough month January can be, dark nights, new year’s resolutions to stick to and your friends participating in Dry January… For the vegans out there there is some light at the end of the tunnel, it’s the month of Veganuary. Which means more options on the menu…

Below is a round of the eateries offering plant-based yummy meals.

ASK Italian is offering a cheesy pizza fix with ASK’s vegan mozzarella and the spaghetti bolognese comes with mixed vegetables and a lentil ragu, Your sweet tooth will be well catered for as well with the Blood orange and chocolate tart.

All Star Lanes have a launched a ‘can’t believe it’s vegan’ menu, The new Spicy Nacho Burger, is jam packed with polenta and ample guacamole (avocado fans you are in for a treat) on a spiced yellow lentil and chickpea patty, topped with chargrilled courgettes and nacho vegan ‘cheese’ sauce. The Texas Hummus is also a real treat, made with kidney bean hummus spiced with tahini and cumin, topped with mixed bean and sweetcorn salsa, served up with homemade tortilla chips and hot sauce.

For desert you can tuck into the warm apple turnover, or if that isn’t enough, opt for the homemade apple and salted caramel turnover, topped with a maple syrup and dark brown sugar glaze, served sweet soy milk ice cream. (Menu is available from the 8th – 31st Jan).

Rola Wala has launched the rebel ‘Spice Bowl’ perfect for the fire in your tummy. The bowl is made up of black bean noodles and packed with 30g of protein per bowl. Want more in your bowl? you can add these delicious vegan fillings: Rola Wala’s Keralan Chickpea, Red Channa Dal or Sweet Potato Saagwala.

French restaurant Aubaine has launched a vegan menu, offering nine new recipes spanning three courses. They have created contemporary twists on French classics. You can expect to find a beetroot & green apple tartare with avocado and mushroom bourguignon with carrot bacon. Or for a more modern creation you can opt for a roasted cauliflower steak with turmeric smoked paprika and pomegranate. Yep you read correctly, I mean it’s almost worth going just to see what a cauliflower steak looks like! They also have delicious vegan desserts on offer.
