The Launch of Patty and Rum

APPLETON ESTATE AND PATTY & BUN SPICE THINGS UP WITH THE LAUNCH OF PATTY & RUM

This July has seen something truly beautiful happen in the world of the London food and drink scene. Rum and burger legends, Appleton Estate and Patty and Bun, teamed up to create one hell of a Jamaican offering.

Appleton Estate has been crafting full-bodied rum with the joyful spirit of Jamaica for more than 250 years, with such a rich heritage it’s no wonder they are one of the leading rum brands around. Respecting the new as much as the old, they have partnered with Patty & Bun, arguably one of the most up and coming burger brands around, to specially formulate a cocktail to compliment their special edition Jamaican inspired grilled chicken burger. The Appleton Estate Jamaican mule contains a punchy mix of ginger beer, lime and Appleton Estate Signature Blend, and we can personally vouch for its deliciousness.

The very first grilled chicken burger to ever grace Patty & Bun, the Patty & Rum burger gets the later part of it’s name from the process of steeping the chicken in a delicious Appleton Estate rum marinade. Served in a soft brioche bun, with a crispy Okra hash brown and coleslaw, then topped with a rum-infused burger sauce that is bursting with Caribbean flavour.

So, where can you sink your teeth into one? All Patty & Bun restaurants across London and Brighton will be dishing up the Patty & Rum grilled jerk chicken burger – for the month of July ONLY! So you better get moving if you want to soak up some Jamaican goodness. They’ll also be making an appearance at Oxfordshire’s Wilderness Festival (2nd – 5th August), where they’ll be right in the thick of things at the The Appleton Estate Jamaican Rum Bar, with a laid-back party feel, rum cocktails and Patty & Rum marinated BBQ chicken, cooked over coals on oil drum BBQs.
