Love Fit Festival Review

Love Fit Festival is UK’s first music, food and fitness festival. In the second year running the festival was a hit amongst all.

Set in the scenic countryside of Kent, the St Clare estate creates the perfect serenity for a weekend full of good vibes, good food, good people and good training. With a range of classes on offer, set your schedule up and make the most of it.

The festival opened 10am Friday morning and continued until 6pm Sunday evening. Unfortunately, we were unable to come for the weekend, so we ventured out there bright an early Sunday morning. Although I was hurting from the hike I did of the seven sisters the day before, I was excited to get started. We started out a little lost as our app wasn’t working so well. I guess being out in the middle of nowhere, you expect that to happen. We decided to just go with the flow and hope we could get into the classes we wanted. Luck was on our side. As it was day 3, not as many people were around.

Broga was the perfect start to the day, regardless of the fact it was a lot of legs! As we looked up to the sky and seeing the sun shining bright through the tops of the trees, breathing in the fresh air into our lungs, it reminded me how great it was to be alive. Kickboxing was next on my list. It has been a few years however; the class was a lot of fun. A little tricky balancing on the uneven surface, it just meant you had to focus a little harder. The trainers from Pinkbelt Kickboxing were great. As a women’s only kickboxing program, it is all about empowering women. They went through the moves slowly in the beginning, giving everyone some time to pick it up, before we were straight into it. I must say it was a tough workout, but it is something I have missed doing, even if I am a little out of whack with the combinations.

Feeling a little hot after the morning sessions we cooled off with some free whey protein ice-cream, yum along with a purchased protein shake made by KIN-Nutrition. After our much-needed break, we headed off on a mini hike through the paddocks which hide a beautiful lake, to try out the SUP yoga stretch and strengthen with Island Feather. I found it quite easy to pick up and had no issues with falling in, can’t say the same for my husband who is into surfing I might add! It was so peaceful out there cruising around on the board was definitely a highlight of my day.

As the day was drawing to a close, we decided to chill out and listen to the music whilst eating a deliciously healthy, nutritional food designed to go, by Pollen and Grace. That was until Lauren made her way over and said she had a gymnastics class beginning. Yikes I haven’t done gymnastics since I was a kid, but I was super excited now and powered my way through my never-ending meal to join in. I got there just in-time for the cartwheels to begin! Excitement overload! Picking up a few new techniques I was unaware of, I also got to attempt a much better headstand (well closer than I have done in years) along with my first ever walk over! Completely stoked! Yes, she did assist me, but I still did it!

All in all, we had a fabulous day and next year, we will be back for camping, drinking, dancing and glitterfying myself for sure!
