Mindful Chef Launches All-Vegan Menu at Comptoir V & Le Comptoir

Healthy recipe box delivery service Mindful Chef has gone (temporarily) brick and mortar, with an exclusive plant-based menu available at Middle Eastern and Moroccan restaurant Le Comptoir, as well as its sister veggie outpost Comptoir V, both in Kensal Rise, until 14 February. The collaboration, developed to mark Veganuary, plays on classic Middle Eastern flavours, and features a starter, main and dessert that will satisfy even the most dedicated carnivores.

On In London were invited to test the menu at Le Comptoir, and we feasted on every dish. The offering starts with a warm salad of roasted cauliflower, rainbow carrots and lentils, topped with pomegranate seeds and a coriander and mint dressing, followed by baked falafels — a lighter take on the Middle Eastern classic, and a black rice pudding with coconut yoghurt, the vegan-ified version of your childhood rice pudding and a total comfort food packed with goodness.

The staff at Le Comptoir are lovely and welcoming, and the décor is warm and tasteful. If you fancy something off their regular menu as well as the Mindful Chef formula, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Worth every minute of the trip to Northwest London.
