Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration Review
Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration is the fifth intriguing establishment in Mr Fogg’s arsenal of bars designed for travel, adventure and Victorian-mechanics like Phileas J. Fogg, Esq. himself. I was lucky enough to spend an evening sipping cocktails, learning about the wonders of Mr Fogg’s travels, how to make some of the specialty cocktails available and seeing the wonderful Mechanical Mixologist in action.
Guests will love the ingenious cocktails that take you on a journey around the world, while sitting in the beautiful map room or the life-sized model of a Victorian Orient Express. Our favourite cocktails included the Valley of SilenceBombay Sapphire gin, sake, milk & vanilla mirin, lime and egg white, Cave of the Painted ManŻubrówka vodka, Mancino Rosso Amaranto vermouth, pandanus leaves and chocolate bitters, topped up with sparkling wine and The Lagoon Reef consisting of VII Hills gin, mint, chestnut and coconut water. We made this last cocktail in a masterclass on the evening and it was an absolute dream. I even tried to make it at home with little success. Guess I’ll be visiting Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration soon to enjoy this delightful drink again.
We had a great time immersing ourselves in to the world of Around the World In 80 days at the simply gorgeous Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration, so if you’re looking for an intimate date venue or a place to spend time with friends and family, this is the pace to visit.
