P.F. Changs Review
To welcome in the New Year, PF Changs, located in Leicester Square added some new fresh dishes to their ever so popular menu, so of course the On In London team had to head on down and check what was on offer.
For the starter we had the orginal dynamite shrimp, crispy tempura battered shrimp, with spicy sriracha aioli and spring onions. It’s the one dish everyone raves about after eating it at PF Changs (I first tasted it in the P.F. Changs in Dubai) it is delivered in a cocktail glass and I always see it in the hands of waiters as they whizz pass my table, they are that dam good that most of the dinners in the restaurant orders it. It has a delicious spicy tang to it and it’s a little bit like a pringle once you start, you just can’t stop.
For the mains we got a selection of the starters and then a main dish, we ordered the handmade lobster and shrimp spring roll, served with a Thai curry aioli, it tasted very fresh and flavoursome, and we ate it quicker than expected (it was that good). We ordered the Ahi Crisps, spicy tuna served with Avocado on a crisp wonton, with coriander and red pepper slaw. This was a nice light dish, fresh and flavoursome.
The main dish was the fried rice and sesame chicken, which included sliced chicken, broccoli, red bell peppers and a three-sauce mixture. I loved this dish, it had a nice sweet taste to it with a tang, you could taste a lot of flavours, but all complementing each other nicely. Deffinalely a dish I would order again.
We also ordered the crispy green beans: tempura battered green beans with a spicy aioli sauce, these were okay, but I felt the other dishes definitely outshone this dish.
After our mains, we waited a good 20minutes before we could look at the dessert menu, we were so stuffed, but there was no way we were going to pass up on desserts, we just had to give it a while….
After drinking some mint tea and letting our stomachs settle for a bit, we ordered the sticky toffee pudding, which I was happy came in a nice small portion, it was the perfect end to my meal. My guest had the White chocolate bomb, where the waiter pours melting toffee sauce on top of the dessert bomb. Both our eyes were fixated at this point and by the fast speed of my guest devouring the dessert with silence I could tell he enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed my sticky toffee pudding.
Our waitress looked after us throughout the meal, and sitting there you can soak up a really nice vibe, surrounded by happy dinners and helpful staff. Again another great experience at P.F. Changs and I’m sure it won’t be too long until I am back there again dinning in.
