Review: Café Mish

I don’t often get the chance to have lunch in Central London, however, during my holiday break I was lucky enough to get to visit Café Mish. This small, cozy café sells handmade gourmet sandwiches which were extremely popular with business men and women in the local area. The secret as I was informed that day was that all the meat used in the sandwiches is cooked fresh that morning. Café Mish pride themselves on making fresh sandwiches using all fresh ingredients so when they sell out they sell out for the day. Breakfast and Lunch is available and they have a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available to tempt even the fussiest of eaters.

Roast-Angus

After devouring the Roast Angus (peppered roast rib of beef homemade horseradish & wild rocket), it was easy to see why the café filled up quickly and people were buying sandwiches in bulk. My friend equally enjoyed the Roast Chicken (Goosenargh’s corn fed chicken with avocado Romaine lettuce & espelette tarragon mayonnaise). The Mish chips (sweet potato and connoisseurs hand cut chips with spiced Halen Mon salt) also went down a treat and complimented our lunch perfectly.

While the venue isn’t big enough to sit down and enjoy a leisurely long lunch, the food certainly makes up for the lack of seating space. So if you’re looking for a healthy sandwich, full of flavour and fresh ingredients – make sure you head down to Café Mish.
