Secret Sunshine sessions at home – Bringing you a ray of hope

Typical New Year resolutions involve making physical changes to our bodies, from our diet to exercising more. However managing and maintaining our mental health is just as important, more so now than ever as we are spending a lot of our time cooped up inside.

Virtual activities remain essential for our physical and mental well being, particularly as the wet and cold weather continues. While we wait for a little ray of light, Canary Wharf is lending a hand to brighten up Blue Monday offering homes across the UK a much needed dose of sunshine.

The Estate has again teamed up with Secret Sunrise, a global silent guided dance and meditation community, to deliver an electric virtual dancing experience that is sure to energise and inspire participants. Taking place this coming Monday 18th January, it’s a perfect way to start the week, uplifting your mood and decreasing your stress levels and putting a spring in your step before the working week begins. Your colleagues will wonder why you have a smile on your face first thing Monday morning.

This silent-disco style session has communities worldwide ‘swinging and swaying’ and dancing in streets, but this special edition of Secret Sunrise will have guests twirling around their living room, whilst connecting with the online community.

To participate you just need either a laptop / smart phone and some comfy clothes. Remember “it doesn’t matter what you wear, just as long as you are there’’ at 8am – 9am, Monday 18 January.

Participants will then be expertly guided through the experience encompassing mindfulness, meditation, breath work, playfulness and dance. This session is aimed at all ages, so have fun and get footloose and free with the whole family!

The Free hour long Zoom session can be secured through booking a place on Eventbrite (here). Guests will then be invited along with details to join the Zoom call.
