Shola to open in White City Place

Following an incredible response to her Gourmet Karachi Supper Club, Chef Aida Khan has announced she will be opening her her first restaurant in the new West London hot spot White City Place this coming April.

The former BBC headquarters have been skillfully re-designed as a new creative campus, with White City place now home to the likes of Soho House. The restaurant will be an excellent addition to the area, offering an exceptional but fast casual South Asian culinary experience with a focus on high quality ingredients and innovative cooking techniques at a very reasonable price. On a mission to prove that Pakistani food is healthy and light and communicating the nostalgia she has for the food of her childhood, Aida has based Shola’s menu on family recipes that have been passed down over the years.

The menu offers a diverse offering of dishes, such as: sharp smashed tomatoes tempered with a fragrant mix of curry leaves, roasted onion and coriander seeds; beef behari kababs, zesty Chicken Hara Masala, khattee daal and charcoal grilled beef kebabs. There will of course be the obligatory sweet treats to follow, including the predicted favourite; crumbly semolina and flour cookie, glazed and sprinkled with freshly chopped pistachios.
