Spring has sprung at W London

I had the pleasure of being invited to try out the new spring cocktail menu at the glitzy W hotel Perception bar, and was transported to a colourful floral oasis complete with an interactive edible garden, and vegan bites from the well-loved Ravinder Bhogal. Surely it doesn’t get better than that!

There were flowers in abundance, from the bright W floral display that greeted us downstairs, to the blooming oasis photo booth, which we definitely spent a little too much time in, and a floral canopy bar which served up some taste bud tingling drinks.

All of the cocktails are inspired by Bhogal’s East-African Indian heritage, and for all you gin lovers, I’d highly recommend the Purple Rain; with Bombay Sapphire, lychee and violette liquer, it was a real party for your mouth. And if you’re looking for something a bit different, give the ‘Spice Boy’ a try; with tequila, tamarind and chilli, it was seriously tangy and packed a real punch.

Despite the cold weather outside, the bar was a truly vibrant and colourful oasis, making it the perfect springtime spot, and the living wall with a ‘pick-your-own herb and spice garden’ definitely went down a treat with the evening revellers.

If you’re looking to head down and see it for yourself, W London’s floral masterpiece and new cocktail menu will be ready for thirsty Londoners from April 16th 2018 together with Bhogal’s vegan menu until the end of June 2018.
