Tanqueray’s Gothic Garden at the Tale Bar, Playboy Club London Review

We’re a little behind the times here at ONIN.London and didn’t know the Playboy Club London existed. Luckily our introduction to this hidden gem was a memorable one and it’s now one of our must visit places in London. The Tale Bar at the Playboy Club London has been transformed into a  fairy-tale style ‘Gothic Garden’ this November. They’ve teamed up with Tanqueray Gin to create a unique personalised gin inspired experience.

The Gin & On It allows guests to create their own bespoke gin cocktail by choosing their favourite pairing from the ‘garnish wall’ or experimenting with something totally new. This experience costs only £10.00. There’s five Tanqueray Gin’s to choose from and the bartender’s are happy to talk you through which pairings go well together and the story behind each gin.

We were there for the full ‘Gin fusion’ experience and we haven’t stopped talking about it since it took place. We started off with a gorgeous gin punch which is made of Tanqueray Gin, Rose Extract, Cranberry, Lime and Orange Juice. It was absolutely divine. We also enjoyed some delightful canapes which were gobbled up pretty fast, the bunny cheesecake was our favourite for sure. Next up we were given an introduction to Tanqueray Gin and shown the botanical wall where were able to choose the botanicals we would like infused in our gin. I chose raspberries, rose buds, lime peels and chillies. The botanicals are then pressure infused into a 300ml bottle of Tanqueray gin. The result for me was a sweet citrus flavoured gin with a little bit of a chilli kick at the end. We then got to take our gorgeous bottle home with us. This experience is such good value at only £33.00 per person.

We had a great night and will definitely be coming back to try more of the Playboy Club London’s signature cocktails. It’s a great intimate venue and we can’t wait for you to discover it yourselves.
