Refined Elegance at one of London’s Best Cocktail Bars, The Coral Room

Famed for its vibrant coral walls and lavish interior decor, The Coral Room is one of London’s most talked about cocktail and wine bars.

Designed by the acclaimed designer, Martin Brudnizki, the vibrant grand salon bar reflects an exquisite country house transported to the city. It’s a tranquil oasis of calm, just moments away from the busiest shopping street in London, Oxford Street.

The bar itself is open from midday daily, and provides the perfect setting during the day for guests wishing to meet for a light bite, afternoon tea, cocktails and wine, transforming itself into a lively cocktail bar in the evenings.

We were invited in to celebrate London Cocktail Week where we got to try their beautifully designed cocktail in collaboration with Palmaráe, named ‘Golden Hour’. The flavours were subtle and delicious, and the menu also offered a wide range of classics too, as well as an Irish-inspired cocktail menu.

From this wider menu, I really enjoyed the ‘Divine Temptation too. This cocktailI is inspired by the legendary orchards of Armagh and is a crisp, vegetal spin on the Appletini. Mixing Gattertop Botanic No. 7 Vodka with Granny’s Garden Tea, Jalapeño Oil and Nettle Cordial, the flavour was fresh, punchy and surprising.

I’ve been informed the cocktail menu will change soon, so run, don’t walk – and then run back again to try the new one! Rather than full meals, The Coral Room serves up a range of small plates and sharers. Must orders include the 28 Days Aged Beef Sliders with cave aged Cheddar, pickle and club sauce or the Cornish Plaice Ceviche with avocado and chilli & citrus dressing.

There’s always something new and fun to enjoy here, and the bar has recently launched a new collaboration with The Dominion Theatre, which is entering a new theatre run, debuting a musical adaptation of popular blockbuster, The Devil Wears Prada. To coincide, The Coral Room is launching a fabulous Runway Afternoon Tea that takes inspiration within the dishes, from popular catch phrases in the movie. We can’t wait to experience this new menu!
