THE SUNNY SIDE UP CAFÉ BY VEUVE CLICQUOT IS NOW OPEN IN SOHO LONDON

Veuve Clicquot, the iconic Champagne House, is celebrating the 250th anniversary and is doing so in style! They unveiled the Sunny Side Up Café by Veuve Clicquot to serve eggs and Champagne to the public until Saturday 30 April, located at 59 Greek Street, London W1D 3DZ and is super cute.

250 years is an amazing achievement and with this anniversary, marks more than just a milestone. It’s an ode to the joy and optimism that Veuve Clicquot stands for.

Veuve Clicquot asks us “How do you like your eggs?” Well of course our answer is the same as theirs! “Sunny Side Up with Veuve Clicquot champagne, of course”!

Upon entering the venue, we were greeted by the Sunny Sommelier – whose role was to pair our menu choice with a glass, or bottle of Veuve Clicquot. They shared some interesting entertaining anecdotes of the revered champagne house. The UK are the biggest consumers of dry champagne! Who knew?

The café’s signatuere dish features a special twist from Andi Oliver, celebrated chef and TV personality. It is an elevated all day, egg inspired dish. ‘Andi’s Waffles’ feature a fried egg, streaky bacon, confit cherry tomatoes, waffles & Andi’s spiced maple syrup. This unexpected but delicious dish is perfectly balanced with a glass of refreshing Yellow Label from Veuve Clicquot.

The rest of the menu exploring classics with a Clicquot spin including egg and marmite soldiers, waffles and a spiced maple syrup and even a luxury bacon bap. There are also vegetarian options available.

We went with the classic full English and the vegetarian full English, with a class of champagne. It was an indulgent breakfast with perfectly scrambled eggs and amazing home made baked beans and hash browns.

The soundtrack of the restaurant includes a specially curated playlist of ‘Sunny Sound Tracks’ including an exclusive rendition of ‘Good Day Sunshine’ commissioned by Veuve Clicquot as part of its ‘Solaire’ 250th Anniversary celebration from Canadian music artist, Charlotte Cardin.

Get in quick and book tickets now! They’re selling fast! We loved our time there and we’re sure you will too!
