Traditional Neapolitan Pizzeria in Notting Hill

If you can’t quite afford a summer holiday to Italy, but desperate to escape the UK, a visit to Farina is a short-term solution. Lately, sourdough pizza seems to be all the rage, but one pizzeria in Notting Hill, Farina, are bucking the trend and staying true to their Italian Neapolitan roots.

Pizza master Emanuele Tagliarina, previously chef at Santa Maria, and his dedicated team are masters of traditional Italian pizzas and make Farina’s dough with fresh live yeast. The resulting pizza base is fresh, easy to digest and stays true to the Neapolitan tradition. What’s more, they’re always sure to pair it with the highest quality ingredients.

The menu has something for everyone, starters include Polpette (oven baked pork meatballs in tomato sauce) and Parmigiana Napoletana (deep friend aubergines layered with slow cooked tomato sauce, mozzarella and parmesan). The pizzas offered are the best of the classics; featuring the Marinara, the Diavola, the Capricciosa, and Farina’s own, the Farina (tomatoes, parmesan, mozzarella, nduja, spicy salami, provola, fresh basil). There’s plenty of options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike, as well as gluten free and vegan pizzas.

You can wash all of this down with a selection of cocktails, beers, wines and of course, true to form, a choice of digestifs. With starters from £5.50 and pizzas from £7, this truly Italian experience won’t break the bank.
