Vari-Desk Review

The Varidesk Pro Plus is a pretty impressive converter that turns your desk into a standing desk. Research shows there’s plenty of benefits to have a standing desk such as weight loss, reduced cancer, longer life and better posture. Also standing desks are said to help increase productivity levels by up to 46%, relieve body discomfort, increases mood and energy levels. I was looking forward to trying this.

First of the box is heavy, it definitely requires two people to lift. Thankfully the Varidesk Pro Plus comes already assembled so it take just 3 seconds to go from sitting to standing.  As already mentioned it is very heavy, so not easy to move when you’re in a Hot Desk environment like I am. The Vari-Desk Pro Plus is also very big, so unless you have a big desk – it will take up most of your desk space.

The positives outweigh the negatives so I was pretty impressed with Varidesk overall. A few other staff members in the office also have different Standing Desks and this seems to be the easiest to use. There’s 11 different height settings which was perfect for short and tall people alike, while the other brands appeared to have the two height settings.The spring-loaded boost mechanism also made it super easy to go from sitting to standing in the blink of an eye. Now I just need to convince my bosses to let me get a treadmill desk and I’ll be all set.

This desk riser’s two-tiered design did allow me to have a spacious upper display area for your laptop and monitor while the lower deck has plenty of room for my keyboard and mouse. Though as already mentioned, it did take up a lot of space on my main desk.
