Wimbledon @ Brew Cafe

brewcafe2Brew café, a favourite hang-out for tennis celebrities, Lleyton Hewitt, Maria Sharapova and Andy Murray with its stunning open vista onto the high street in Wimbledon village, is the perfect spot this year for summer sipping, all-day dining and catching up on the tennis: www.brew-cafe.com.

To celebrate The Championships, Brew, with their deliciously innovative Antipodean menu are building a bar at the front of the café, complete with grass and encircled by tennis netting. Why not toast to the tennis with a refreshing, Sipsmith cocktail? A must-try “Wimbledon Collins” incorporates a punchy blend of lemon, cane sugar, strawberries, Sipsmith vodka and sparkling mineral water. Or if beers and lager are more your thing, Late Knight will be providing a great boutique cask selection and Meantime, kegs of icy cold local lager.

brewcafe1If all that cheering has made you hungry, as well as their normal menu, Brew will be serving a Wimbledon Strawberries and Cream Pavlova as well as limited edition Tennis Ball Lamingtons (£3.50) – an Australian delicacy, covered in chocolate and sprinkled with coconut. These tennis-inspired treats will be available from Monday 16th June through to Sunday 6th July and go perfectly with the artisan ice creams that Brew will also have on offer at their dedicated stand. And if you still haven’t managed to bag those Centre Court tickets, don’t fear, Brew will also project the live tennis onto a large wall at the front of the café so guests don’t miss a match!
