You don’t often go out to a restaurant to cook your own food, but that’s just what you do at a Korean barbecue and it was actually really fun.Having the food barbecued in front of your eyes does mean you know it’s freshly prepared.
Choosing a range of dishes including King Prawns, Chicken and Beef Skewers, Pork Belly and Beef Tendon, the staff help you set up the barbecue on your table then show you how to cook it. It’s an interesting experience while you’re chatting away and nibbling on the dishes (such as dumplings, potatoes and Edamame) you don’t need to cook for yourself.
The food was absolutely delicious and it’s an experience I would gladly do again. The food is reasonably priced as was the accompanying wine which we enjoyed during the evening. Staff were absolutely lovely and helped us throughout the evening, especially when we became distracted talking and forgot to turn the meat on the barbecue.
So next time you’re looking for something a little different, make sure you check out Yanji. You won’t be disappointed.
