Barsmith Opens in Farringdon

Barsmith is the brainchild of Ben Avigdori and Lawrence Santi, the duo behind; The Marylebone, The Princess of Wales and Nonna Rosa in London, which are becoming famous for serving kick-arse infusion cocktails!

The uniqueness of Barsmith comes from a team of leading London mixologists serving cocktails with a flourish of fun and a hint of eccentricity; expect treasure chest cocktails with a curl of dry ice and curious cocktail-filled soup cans!

Bar Smith-351 emailIt’s all down to the science, the Barsmith infusion is a natural chemical process created by dissolving volatile botanicals into alcohol, thus releasing their active ingredients and flavour into the liquid. The ingredients go through a variety of processes resulting in an interesting liqueur which is completely bespoke to the Barsmith brand! The infusions are all created in a custom built laboratory in central London. Plus all the fresh produce such as fruit, herbs and berries coming fresh from New Covent Market each morning.

Highlights from the cocktail list include:

– Milky Way – A decadent homemade white chocolate vodka, coupled with their coffee rum, amaretto and organic cream for a debauched finish.

– Hot Stuff Baby – A zesty homemade citrus infused vodka, blended with carrot juice, egg white and muddled with stem ginger and chilli

– The Barsmith – Rum infused with ginger and honey, with a little lychee and lime juice, peppered with mint leaves and perfected with ginger beer.

Not only content with serving delish cocktails, the Barsmith team offer a wide range of specially selected craft beers, ales and wines. And if that wasn’t enough be prepared to gorge on one of their fine Italian thin crust pizzas, cured meats and cheeses.
