Bottomless Brunch At Piazza Italiana

A few weeks ago for my friend’s birthday party, a group of 5 of us visited the gorgeous Grade II-listed former Linen Bank to experience the luxury that is the Italian restaurant Piazza Italiana.

Arriving we were blown away with how festive the venue looks and how pretty it all was. But we weren’t just here for the pretty views… it was all about the 90-minute full-blown Italian fiesta.

At £35 per person for food only (starter, bottomless pasta + pizza, dessert) or £59 for bottomless food and drinks – price wise… it was a no brainer.

Starter wise we loved the

  • INSALATA CON POMODORI E BURRATA (V) – Burrata Apulia, seasonal tomato steaks,
baron red onion, capers, sweet balsamic sauce, basil.
  • CARPACCIO DI BRANZINO – Mediterranean sea bass carpaccio, pickled shallots, chives, fleur de sel, baby parsley, olive oil-lemon dressing
CARPACCIO DI MANZO – Beef carpaccio, anchovy-pecorino aioli, rocket, parmesan, olive oil

We just couldn’t fault them. The real fun though came next with the weekly rotating selection of bottomless pasta and pizza dishes. You can mix and match these ‘til your carb cravings are content’ before finished off with a deliciously decadent dessert.

The pizzas were the highlights of the mains and we definitely went back for seconds of these. The pastas were ok but the pizzas won hands down! They were freshly made, full of flavour and just the perfect pizzas.

Dessert was a delightful pavlova and for a table of girls who don’t usually eat dessert… there wasn’t a bit left on our plates.

Of course we enjoyed Aperol spritz, chilled prosecco and zesty bellinis for the 90 minutes and left the brunch feeling a little more tipsy than when we arrived… but that’s half the fun of a bottomless brunch right?

The brunch runs from 12pm-4pm every Saturday and is worth checking out. You won’t be disappointed.

We’re also excited to share Piazza Italians has released a lovely selection of Christmas cocktails.

This year, the new cocktail list will be all about celebrating the Italian classics with a little festive sparkle thrown in to keep things merry and bright!

The best-selling traditional Negroni is having a festive face-lift, with the introduction of the Cherry and Fig Negroni (£15) and a new classic Christmas Negroni (£15) on the menu, featuring Piazza Italiana’s brand new gin.

If whisky is more your thing, opt for the Snowball Old Fashioned (£20) – with Woodford Reserve and cotton candy garnished with Maraschino cherries. For a festive twist on a Daiquiri, the Merry Berry is a must-try, with Cut Spiced Rum, strawberry syrup, cranberry juice and egg white (£16).

And the pièce de resistance? The Tiramisu Martini (£15), with Stolichnaya Vodka, Amaretto, Baileys, Coffee and Vanilla Syrup – the perfect after-dinner dessert cocktail or nightcap treat!

Piazza Italiana’s brand new Christmas cocktails will be on the menu up until 22nd December.Let’s raise a glass to a little holiday indulgence…
