Del74 Review

Dalston is beginning to become the hip new borough to hang out in East London and Del74 just made it even cooler. We were pretty lucky to attend the press launch of the second site of Enrique Vivas and Jorge Felizardo’s Del74.

Arriving nice and early, we were greeted with what we describe as the best margaritas in London. They were the perfect thing to drink as we sat in our little booth just feeling the funky vibe of Del74.

If you’re not already impressed yet by the fabulous drinks and decor, you will be by the food. Some of our favourites included the Fresh Guacamole, Chicken Wings Morita and the Nachos For My Little Bro JKF. Though it was the Fish Tacos and the delightful Califlower Crackling Taco that stole our hearts. Who knew vegan tacos, in the form of Califlower Crackling could taste so good!

The Dalston, Del74 also introduces mezcal sharing bottles – pay as you pour pre-marked bottles with shot glasses so friends can sit down, pull up a bottle and sip mezcal (or take a shot) and chat. We may have indulged in a few of these as the mezcal is super smooth and not as smoky as I usually find it.

We loved Del74 and we’re already planning on returning soon, it was a great place to chill, chat and eat delicious food. We’ll just be making sure we’re not working the next day before indulging too much on the tantalising margaritas and tequila shots.
