ELYSIUM micro gym announces the launch of state-of-the-art micro gyms across London

ELYSIUM, a collection of private micro gyms had launched across the capital, providing Londoners with the best of both worlds; a quiet, professional space for fitness enthusiasts and personal trainers, along with all the benefits of a high end, state-of-the-art gym.  ELYSIUM is set to launch this summer with one site in Aldgate and two in Seven Dials with plans for further expansion across London.

Micro gyms are a new concept born out of the desire to optimise, not maximise square footage and focus more on a personalised approach when it comes to training. As a result of the Covid-19 era, the fitness industry must cater to new demands, including the desire for a private, yet professional environment for people to work out in. During lockdown, virtual gym sessions soared in popularity and gym-goers are now looking to combine the benefits of a private workout with state-of-the-art infrastructure and guidance, which is where ELYSIUM and its micro gyms come in.

Founded by London-based personal trainer Guido Basola, ELYSIUM caters to PTs looking for a professional space to train clients as well as those looking for somewhere to do a solo or group workout with friends. Coming from a luxury fitness background, Guido has taken his previous experiences and created a dynamic space that will change the way people view fitness and personal training.

The micro gyms will be priced at £25 per hour and need to be pre-booked prior to arrival via the ELYSIUM app. To ensure members have the ultimate visitor experience and the highest hygiene standards are upkept, the spaces will be routinely cleaned throughout the day and users will also be encouraged to keep the spaces clean and tidy with the app’s ‘five star rating system’ in place.

ELYSIUM’s boutique training spaces will also aim to cultivate a safe and inviting community feel, with plans for an SOS function on the ELYSIUM app, which will enable members to access any site 24/7 in case of emergency. The app will also give members access to carefully curated F&B offerings, for post-workout fuel.

ELYSIUM boasts a range of state-of-the-art exercise equipment. From a cardio perspective, guests can work with the Concept2 Rower, SkiErg and BikeErg to improve lower-body conditioning and aerobic fitness.  For strengthening workouts, the Power Racks come with custom-built lever arms for chest, shoulder and deadlift support.

Home gym equipment specialists, BLK BOX have also provided a standard rack of Dumbells and KettleBells for joint exercises including chest flyes, shoulder raises or biceps curls. ELYSIUM will also host a Primal Strength Commercial Cable Crossover, for arm, chest and shoulder muscle workouts.

ELYSIUM has worked closely with luxury interior gym designers, LIFTD Design to create micro gyms that value functionality and design equally. A clean aesthetic balanced with premium equipment makes ELYSIUM the ultimate space for a productive and comfortable workout.

Founder Gudio Basola commented: “At its core, ELYSIUM is a fitness facility that focuses on the individual, their needs and training priorities. By removing the daunting floor size of a large gym, people can focus on themselves and what they want to achieve in the hour or so that they are with us. Over lockdown, there was an increase in demand for personal trainers and with ELYSIUM we can provide a space for that demand, without the high commission rate of a big corporate gym.”

In addition to the sites launching in Aldgate and Seven Dials, ELYSIUM has plans to further expand to Clapham, Battersea, London Bridge making it accessible to a large part of the capital.
