Evening Standard’s Secret Gin Garden Review
OnIn.London recently attended The Secret Gin Garden, where we were able to enjoy and discover an expertly curated, collection of gin presented by industry and brand experts in an intimate, quirky and just plain incredible pop up.
The speakeasy took place at the gorgeous Clifton Nursery, a perfect location to drink gins given the numerous botanical qualities that make up the gorgeous Fisher’s Gin, Theodore Gin, Mary-le-bone Gin and One Gin.
For one night only, guests explored a secret hidden oasis in the heart of the city while listening to live music from Carradine’s Cockney Sing A Long, learning more about the gins from expert masterclasses, sampling delightful drinks from master mixologists and tasting food pairings to stimulate senses.
We had a great evening sampling the gorgeous cocktails, though we were too busy talking to all the distillers so missed out on the canapés.
Tickets for the gin evening cost £70.99 for one ticket or £130 for two tickets (which included VAT and booking fee). The tickets included All Food and Alcoholic/Non-Alcoholic beverages, Introduction from the Evening Standard’s food and drinks columnist Douglas Blyde, A selection of tastings from premier gin brands, Specially designed food pairings, Entertainment to make for a magical evening, Masterclasses from the world’s most talented experts, A Q&A from leading experts and brand ambassadors, Each guest will receive a gift and an Opportunity to purchase bottles of exclusive and high-end gins.
We can only assume future events will be of similar prices and we can’t wait for the future events! There are plans for Tequila – June 19th, Rum – July 3rd, Spritz – 17th July and Scotch Whisky – 11th September.
Speakeasy events are for over 18s only.
