Happy Endings Thai Upstairs At Manero’s
Happy Endings Thai Upstairs At Manero’s
From Wednesday 18th March
Wednesday – Saturday, 6pm – 8pm and 8pm – 10pm
Manero’s cocktail bar, the secretive yellow door on Kingsland Road is opening up its doors. Upstairs At Manero’s provides a unique dining experience unlike anything Haggerston has experienced. The café in question was the first kebab shop in East London, established in 1969 and still run by the same family. With its quirky décor and late license, the café is the perfect location for some amazing Thai Cusine!
Happy Endings is described as Thai Food Made With Love. The menu is a £25 3 course set menu which includes a house cocktail and features a wide variety of dishes including Chilli Prawn Aranchini, Tiger Prawns, Free Range Artisan Pork or Chicken Chiang Mai Sausage, Grilled Pork Neck, Spicy Dipping Sauce, Som Tam Papaya Salad, Sticky Rice and their special homemade Happy Endings pie for dessert.
The name Happy Endings refers to the homemade pie that is served with fresh passionfruit. Everyone that eats there gets a Happy Ending, hence why there is only one dessert item on the menu. The rest of the menu gets it Thai influence from a secret Thai ingredient that gives the Happy Endings Pie its unique flavour. Fabio Bernadelle, the head chef of Happy Endings, has spent many years travelling around Asia including Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, sourcing the best ingredients and learning specialist homemade recipes from the locals, recipes that are not found over here in the UK.
