Jawbox Rhubarb and Ginger Gin Liqueur

It was National Rhubarb month in October, so we were sent a bottle of Jawbox Rhubarb and Ginger Gin Liqueur to help us celebrate. Unfortunately we were super busy in October, but with the weather cooling down we thought it’d be the perfect time to try this delightful gin liqueur with it’s warming heat of ginger and tart rhubarb flavours.

Jawbox Small Batch Gin is made by infusing the classic combination of sweet and tangy rhubarb with warming ginger to create the perfect balance of flavours. And with Pink Gins being very vogue right now, this one fits right in.

Our favourite way to drink Jawbox Rhubarb and Ginger Gin Liqueur is the Rhubarb & GINGER. This drink contains 50ML Jawbox Rhubarb and Ginger Gin Liqueur, 100ML GINGER ALE (I used Lamb & Watt Ginger Ale), 1 LIME WEDGE and ICE. Pour 50ml Jawbox Rhubarb and Ginger Gin Liqueur into an ice-filled glass. Top up with 100ml of premium ginger ale. Squeeze and drop in a wedge of lime. It’s very simple to make. Now as much as I love Jawbox Gin and ginger ale, at first I was a little bit worried about this recommendation from the guys at Jawbox Small Batch Gin. Would the sweetness of the Jawbox be too overpowering for ginger ale? The answer is no. As soon as the drink touched my lips, my eyes popped open and I was hooked. The ginger ale makes the tartness of the rhubarb stand out and leaves you feeling warm inside.

Next up we tried The Rhubarb Fizz. This is also going on our cocktail list this Christmas as it was easy to make with 50ml Jawbox Rhubarb and Ginger Gin Liqueur into a champagne flute and topped with 100ml prosecco and garnish with a rhubarb ribbon. Who doesn’t have prosecco in their cupboard? So it’s a simple drink to make when you’re ready to class up the night. Now we didn’t have any rhubarbs at home, so we improvised with a raspberry. It was perfect.
