Mercado Chileno: A taste of Chile comes to London

Friday 11th September 5.30pm – 9pm; Saturday 12th September 11.30am – 3pm and 4pm – 8pm
Old Spitafields market will be hosting ‘Mercado Chileno’ a celebration of Chilean wine, food, cocktails, travel, arts, live music and dance. Ladies and Gents you are in for a real treat, throughout the two days you will be presented with over 200 wines to taste, from over 50 wineries in Chile!
Wine buffs will be happy to know wine experts ‘Three Wine Men: Oz Clarke, Olly Smith and Tim Atkin MW, will be out and about recommending wines to try, and if you’re brave enough, join them in speed tasting. The sound of the buzzer will be music to your ears, as it pushes you to the next wine guzzle! Free Pisco sour tastings will also be available at the Pisco cocktail bar for those who prefer a bit of a kick in their beverage!
There will be food galore, with dishes from the North to the South of Chile, a Chilean chef will talk through Chilean produce while handing out delicious tasting samples. To compliment such amazing food and wine, a traditional Chilean dance group will perform the passionate Cueca dance, just the thing to get you in the mood for a bit of a boogie.
There will be an extraordinary installation of a stargazing dome to emulate the crystal clear skies above the Atacama – one of the World’s best places for star gazing. Grab your loved one, a glass of vino and show them romance isn’t dead.
