Nip+Fab Dragons Blood Range
Meet the newest additions to the Nip+Fab collection! So new in fact that they’re not actually available until October, so I hope you enjoy this sneaky peek!
The Dragon’s Blood Fix range includes: Cleansing Pads, Plumping Mask and a Plumping Serum.
Dragon’s Blood Fix Cleansing Pads (£9.95)
I have to admit that I had never previously used cleansing pads before these, so was quite excited to see how well they worked. They are essentially thin cotton pads which are already infused with a cleanser, making them a quick and easy method of removing make-up. These pads contain Salicylic Acid and Hyaluronic Acids to deeply cleanse and to keep the skin hydrated, which theoretically makes the skin appear plumper. They also contain Witch Hazel to reduce the appearance of imperfections and to help to repair the skin.
I really enjoyed the exfoliating texture of the cleansing pads – it really felt like my skin was getting a good clean! Having said that, it did concern me that it would leave my very sensitive skin looking all red and feeling very sore… Not at all. I was actually really impressed as my skin wasn’t even slightly pink after using these pads. (Very unusual as I have extremely reactive and sensitive skin!) I also found that one pad completely removed all of my make-up, so only two pads were required for a full double cleanse. Overall I have really enjoyed these Dragon’s Blood Fix Cleansing pads, although would perhaps question the price.
Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Mask (14.95 for 50ml)
Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Mask is obviously designed to plump the skin, but does so by hydrating the skin to give it a radiant glow. You are instructed to apply a thick layer to your face and neck, however I also found that a thin layer worked just as well (great for making the mask last longer). You have the choice of removing the mask after 10 minutes or leaving it on overnight for a more intensive hydrating effect.
Similarly to the cleansing pads, it contains both Salicylic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid. The mask is transparent, meaning that you just look REALLY shiny when you have the mask on, rather than looking like ET or something similar. It is quite sticky too, which means I had to tie my hair up to sleep with it on. I really love wearing the mask for about half an hour or so in an evening. When you remove the mask, your skin looks really healthy and hydrated and I do actually think that my skin looks more plump. Thumbs up from me!
Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum (19.95 for 50ml)
Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum is also designed to plump and hydrate the skin, but this time though a more light-weight formula. It is also designed to smooth, condition and soothe the skin to reduce fine lines. I absolutely loved using this serum just before bed as each time I would wake up with really glowing and healthy-looking skin – it really give a boost to your complexion. I think my only complaint that it seemed to be a tiny bit tacky, so it is not a product that you would apply in the morning before your make-up, but as a night-time treat it is perfect!
Nip+Fab Dragon’s Blood Fix range will be available from October 2014 and you can pick yours up in Tesco, Boots and Superdrug.
