Onin.London Tries ‘Nespresso x Double Dutch Pink Grapefruit Fizz’

So for those followers who have been around for a while… you know Double Dutch is one of our favourites. I remember meeting Joyce & Raissa when I first started writing for Onin.London at their initial launch. So you can imagine our excitement when I learnt Double Dutch has partnered with Nespresso to bring you their own version of the espresso tonic, the new drink of the Summer. The ‘Nespresso x Double Dutch Pink Grapefruit Fizz’ is a subtly sweet, vibrant, and bubbly take on the espresso drink that we didn’t know we needed – and it can be made at home with some Nespresso For Change Please coffee, Double Dutch Pink Grapefruit soda, and pink grapefruit syrup for a delightful and refreshing note.

I received a gorgeous PR package which allowed me to make the drink myself at home. Boy was I surprised, grapefruit and coffee… this won’t work was what I was thinking and I will hold my hands up and say I was wrong! Very wrong! It worked! Joyce & Raissa really are geniuses.

The Pink Grapefruit Fizz is currently served at The Nespresso Bar (74-75 Old Broad Street, London, EC2M 1QT) and those bringing their own travel mug get 25p off their coffee to-go.

For those wanting a little more information on Double Dutch… here it is!

Double Dutch’s dynamic twin founders Joyce & Raissa de Haas started the premium mixer and tonic brands in 2015, with a small prize fund from UCL and they have since built a multi-million-pound business that has attracted investment from drinks industry titans and experts, including the Heineken family.  They have brought some much-needed fun and energy to the soft drinks and mixers category with sophisticated, delicious tasting,  innovative flavours.

A champion of women within the drinks industry, Joyce & Raissa launched the ‘Double Dutch Trailblazers’, a mentorship programme for female bartenders, and are founding members of ‘Raise a Glass’, a new business network aimed at driving inclusivity for women across the drinks industry founded by Rebecca Oliver-Mooney, Head of Commercial Drinks for Co-op.

So what are you waiting for! Go ahead and try this drink… it’s for those wanting an espresso martini without the booze though the shot of vodka we also added… didn’t hurt one bit.
