Porchester Spa Launch Review

We were lucky enough to be invited to the launch of the newly refurbished Porchester Spas. I was really intrigued to see if Everyone Active in partnership with Westminster council were able to restore the grade II listed building to its former glory and how it would compare to the memories I had of it growing up in the local area. The porchester spa is celebrating it 90th birthday with this launch and the entire area has changed dramatically since my childhood with a Waitrose across the road from the spa and a demolition site where Whitleys shopping centre used to be.

The spa itself makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a time warp. Everything has that warm sepia tone to it. Brown leather day beds, green and white tiled floors and the golden ceiling give a feeling of decadence. Much of the original features remain from the original tiling to the only steam room in the UK to have a timber sauna!

We tried the bamboo fusion massage which was excellent, the therapist Moria has been at the porchester for years and was very knowledgeable. Then we hit the steam room followed by a plunge in the 4 degree pool! Ouch. We came away feeling refreshed and renewed. The spa will be open to the public on Friday 29th November, so make sure you check it out.

Thanks for having us and we can’t wait to use our products in the Skin Genius Wash Bag we were gifted with at the end of the night.
