Review: Cocktail Trading Company Brick Lane

I visited The Cocktail Trading in Brick Lane on a hump day – or as most call a Wednesday. After work drinks were certainly due that evening; the whole idea of winding down, sipping on my maximum of two drinks due to being a bit of a lightweight (and proud, I never need to fork out much – yay!)

Living in Hackney and being close to Shoreditch is great for evenings like these. My guest and I made our way to an intimate yet spacious bar, with hipster-like wooden furnishings, and a busy and vibrant looking bar, little did I know about the masterpieces that were being mixed, shaken, and stirred behind it!

The menus were insanely creative, beautifully decorated and presented, and ridiculously delicious! My favourite drink had to be the Bonsai Butterfly; 2 parts Jasmin Martin Miillers Gin, 2 parts St. Germain, 1 part Fig-lime cordial, 1 splash of champagne. So, so divine!

The drinking experience is such a delight when packaged so beautifully, the Bonsai Butterfly looked like a little colourful garden in a jar of cocktail – not to mention the friendly and super hard working staff during the busy night.

I’m definitely going back; I didn’t have to queue at the bar which can often be quite tiring. Waiters come to you, and additionally serve you some water incase you go overboard with the drink. Definitely one of the most classiest bars I’ve been to in a while – 5 stars from me.
