Sunborn London Review

On Sunday, 23rd May we stayed at the Sunborn London, a deluxe yacht hotel is located in the prestigious Royal Victoria Docks. For some time this have been one of my bucket list of hotels to stay in London.

Arriving on board, it’s hard not to see the charm and sophistication of the yacht with its teak wood panelling, gorgeous chandelier, a sweeping glass staircase and vast decked areas. Unfortunately due to the weather and Covid we weren’t allowed to venture on deck to enjoy these.

The Sunborn London yacht offers 138 spacious yacht bedrooms and suites over 5 floors. Our room was stunning and took me back to days when we used to be allowed on cruise ships. Though this room is bigger than any cruise ship room I’ve stayed in. I would recommend bringing shower amenities and bottles of water for your stay as these are unfortunately not provided in the room. I did find this strange as this is standard in most hotels. Whether this was due to Covid or not, is unknown but when hotel staff were asked I was told they don’t provide body wash due to allergies.

The king size bed was super comfy and I did sleep very well throughout the night. If you’re an Onin.London reader you know I love my hotel robes so it was great to see these in the room. Not as fluffy and oversized as some hotel robes but I loved them none-the-less

Whilst we didn’t have dinner on board, we did witness guests enjoying their meals in the evening. We had breakfast in the dining room and were happy with the Covid safe measures in place.

Thank you Sunborn Yacht for hosting us for a press stay. We appreciated it.

The Sunborn Yacht is close to London City Airport, Canary Wharf, The O2 and Greenwich, so it’s a great location if you need accommodation in the area. It’s also has easy transport links into Central London.
