Superheroes Assemble!

Have you been to the Superheroes Bar yet? If not then you’ve been, then you’re missing out. This immersive experience brings comics to life with science and technology, and is a must-visit for comic book lovers, superhero super-fans and anyone who doesn’t want to grow up just yet!  

Arriving we donned a mask and cape to hide our identities and we’re taken on a fantasy-inspired interactive journey through the Golden Age of superheroes, superpowers and comics.

The black and white 2D interior is designed to look like the hand-sketched world of a retro comic book. It’s super cool and pretty instagrammable.

After getting settled we began our superhero-in-training begins by testing our superpowers by pouring a welcome drink by superpose. Different superposes pour different drinks (alcoholic or non alcoholic), though you know we went with the alcoholic version.

We then got to create two interactive cocktails each at our workstation. It’s amazing our the team behind The Cauldren have created cocktails inspired by molecular mixology and the real superpowers of forgotten.

Drink-making instructions are in comic book form and are pretty easy to follow. The special effects from fire and smoke to UV create awe inspiring effects and really do make you feel like you have super powers.   

If you fancy spending a little more time after your superhero immersion, the venue also features a walk-in ‘Supervillain Hideout Bar. This hadn’t been finished when we visited back in July but we’re told now it has a colourful, experimental molecular cocktail and craft beer bar where superpowers rule — crystal-activated self-drink-pouring, flaming cocktails, and gaming systems galore. Perfect really as you won’t want to leave.
