Cravendale makes London affordable

Last weekend we saw our casual schedule of swimming and basically doing anything we so pleased get pushed out of the way. Thanks to the fridge door staple, Cravendale and their new #lovecravendale campaign we were off to test out a Razzamataz preforming arts class and also have a go at horse riding.

First off was the Razzamataz class. For Princess, it was one hour long and consisted of 20 minutes of dance, 20 minutes of drama and 20 minutes of singing. To say she took to it like a duck to water is an understatement. Four days later and she is still showing us the steps she learnt and singing away.

I think performing arts classes are a great way to give children confidence and transferable life skills which they can use in the classroom too. The class we attended was very close to Southgate tube station but they are nationwide so I’m sure if you are interested it won’t be too hard to find one close to you.

Horse riding was also awesome, particularly as I was able to take part too! The Aldersbrook Riding School was very close to Epping Forest which meant that after getting the hang of trotting around the teaching pen (excuse my lack of equine terminology) we were able to go for a leisurely horse ride through the forest.

Princess and I loved our lesson. If we had more of a disposable income, I would love to have her take up riding as a full time hobby, but for now, initiatives such as Cravendale’s will allow us small tasters of what would otherwise be out of reach. The campaign allows you to try out a range of activities such as white water rafting or rock climbing. Some experiences are buy one get one free whilst others allow for a free experience. I drink Cravendale all of the time so being rewarded for buying something that I purchase twice a week (skimmed and semi in our household) is a no brainer.

London is an expensive place to bring up kids so I’m always on the lookout for cheap or free days out. If you sign up to the campaign or find any similar ones, let me know!
